Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. Learn how Worbour collects, uses and protects information when you use our platform and services.
Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Worbour ("Worbour", "we", "us") handles information when you use our website and services. It applies to customers who book services and to professionals who offer services through the platform.
By using Worbour you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to run the service: creating your account, processing bookings and payments, assigning a professional, and supporting you afterwards.
3. Information You Provide
When you register, book a service or contact support, you provide:
- Account details — your name and your verified mobile number (your sign-in identity; an email address is optional and never required).
- Booking details — the service you choose, preferred date and time slot, and any note you add for the professional.
- Address details — the address(es) you save so professionals know where to arrive.
- Communications — messages you send through the contact form or support pages.
4. Booking & Address Information
Each booking stores the service (including the main service category), date, time slot, selected address, your note, the applied coupon, the amount, and the booking status. The assigned professional sees the booking details needed to perform the service — the service, date, slot, address and your contact name/number.
You can view, reschedule or cancel your bookings from your account at any time, and manage saved addresses in your profile.
5. Payment Information
Bookings paid from your Worbour wallet create a wallet debit and payment record. When online top-ups are enabled, Razorpay Checkout processes the payment; Worbour does not receive or store card numbers, UPI PINs or internet-banking credentials. We retain the Razorpay order and payment references, amount, status and timestamps for reconciliation and support. Razorpay processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy.
The wallet ledger stores transaction descriptions, amounts, status and timestamps for your receipts and refunds.
6. Service Usage & Technical Information
When you use the site we process standard technical information your browser sends (such as IP address and browser type) as part of serving pages and keeping the platform secure.
Your browser also stores a small amount of data on your device: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and local storage entries for your saved city and recent service searches. These are described in our Cookie Policy.
7. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and keep it secure.
- Create, confirm, assign, reschedule and cancel bookings.
- Process wallet payments, discounts and refunds.
- Show your booking history, invoices and wallet statements.
- Assign the right professional based on the service booked and their skills.
- Send you service notifications — confirmations, status changes, payment receipts.
- Respond to support and contact-form messages.
- Keep the platform safe, debug issues, and improve the service.
9. Service Providers (Professionals)
Professionals on Worbour are independent service providers, verified and onboarded by the Worbour team. When a professional is assigned to your booking, they receive the booking details described above so they can perform the service.
Professionals are required to handle your information only to complete the booking and are expected to keep it confidential. If you have a concern about how a professional handled your information, contact us and we will investigate.
10. Communications
Service messages (booking confirmations, status changes, payment receipts, support replies) are delivered through the app to your registered mobile number and in-app notifications — and to your email address too if you have added one. Transactional messages about your bookings cannot be switched off while a booking is active.
You can manage notification preferences from your account where the option is provided.
11. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect information: passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sessions use secure cookies, forms are protected with CSRF tokens, and the data store is blocked from direct web access.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take our responsibility for your data seriously and review our practices regularly.
12. Data Retention
We keep your information while your account is active so your booking history, wallet statement and invoices remain available. Wallet transactions and invoices are retained because payment records are needed for accounting and dispute resolution.
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymise it.
13. Your Rights
You can exercise the following rights directly from your account or by contacting support:
- Access and correct your profile information at any time.
- Manage saved addresses and booking history.
- Download invoices for completed, paid bookings.
- Ask us to delete your account, subject to retention of records we must keep (for example completed payment transactions).
- Withdraw consent for optional communications.
14. Children's Privacy
Worbour is intended for adults who book home services. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and accounts require a verified mobile number.
If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
15. Third-Party Links
The site links to third-party pages — for example app-store badges, our social media profiles and map links. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
16. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the platform or the law. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continued use of Worbour after an update means you accept the revised policy.
17. Contact Information
